How the programme works and what it can do for your School or College
Through taking part in Creative Schools…we have gained further access to networks of leading cultural organisations, developing and strengthening our arts provision
Eastbury School, Barking and Dagenham
MEET
We meet with your school or college to help identify key improvement needs and development areas that a creative project can support.
We consult with staff and leaders to understand your needs and your school or College’s culture and ethos. We help manage the budget, timescale, and logistics of delivering a creative project. We minimize your workload, match you with the right creative partner to deliver against your specific needs, and match fund projects to make them more affordable.
PLAN
Starting with your school’s needs our network of cultural partners will propose current, bespoke or completely new projects that can help you deliver your priorities and create a legacy of cultural and artistic engagement in your school.
COMMISSION
We will match you up with the projects that work for you and your College or schools and will match-fund you to commission a project with one of them. This process starts with an exciting bespoke menu of proposals from our partner organisations, introducing you to new approaches to fulfilling your needs and requirements. We can meet with you to discuss the options in more depth, and once you’ve decided on your partnership we’ll introduce you to your partner arts organisation(s) to begin planning your project(s).
DELIVER
Working in partnership with some of East London’s leading cultural organisations, your students take part in high-quality arts projects that meet your school or College’s needs. Projects can be short and long-term and we aim to work across a range of art forms and media. We’ll help you evaluate the impact of your project according to our evaluation framework.
REFLECT AND SHARE
Celebrate your school or college’s strengths and share practice at our termly networking events with East London education and cultural leaders; access regular staff CPD opportunities and participate in our highly popular Annual Creative Schools + Creative Colleges symposium
